ROADKILL04
I am shooting an old Cva eclipse with the shotgun primers conversion kit. I shoot 100 gr of loose powder and have been shooint the tc cheap shot sabots. I was wondering if there was a better bullet forvthis gun or not I shoot a 240 gr bullet. And could someone describe the difference in the bullet weights. Common sense I know a heavy one will hit harder but not go as far but Is there a good one for hard hitting deep pentration that will shoot out to bout 200 plus yards
Buckeye54
I'm not sure how it would work in you gun, but I put a PR Dead Center .40 cal., 240 gr., shooting 100 gr 777, through a doe this morning at 175 yds. The doe went about 20 yds and piled up. I took the hide off when I got her home and was pretty impressed at the damage that bullet did. Took out both lungs and smashed through the opposite shoulder. layin on the smackdown
100 grains of powder shoots REAL nice with a 223 grain powerbelt...at least out of my CVA optima it does. I would recommend trying that load out.
