trophy rock

Recommended Posts

so ive used this twice this two different responses. the first tim i had it about 5ft off the trail and didnt get any action. the trail was a well used trail. so i decided to give up on it. that was till the following year. i just wanted to try it one more time. this time i used a different location on a good trail coming out of a crick bottom just before a pine thicket and i literally put this thing on the trail. withing the first few days i had numerous does hitting it. about a week later the big boys started hitting the rock. i came to the conclusion that its all location, location, location..

that year i did shoot a nice 8pt who ended up on the wall in a semi sneak.

the reason i am posting this is because one of the guys that i exchange hunting stories with at my local bowshop is a pro staff member for trophy rock and i was just seeing what kind of trophy rock stories anyone else has.

Have had pretty good results with the trophy rock, especially when we first started using it. Did not use a trophy rock this year, and we had several bucks coming to our minerals(deer cain and plain mineral blocks), just not on a real regular basis, may go back to the trophy rock next spring.

I've been useing them for about 4 years now. I have 1 behind myt house and 2 out on the hill about 1/2 mile apart. They hit them all year long, I usually have to replace them twice a year, especially after the bucks start hitting them heavy in the spring. the best, longest lasting mineral lick I have ever used that is as beneficial to the dear.
