Tominator
Got the call that no husband ever wants to get-- Nope, not what you're thinking, I was on the phone with my bud and he was singing the blues because his oldest boy (7) was just diagnosed with diabetes, but that's another thread, when my phone beeped. I looked and saw it was my wife, who is notorious for getting lost so I hung up with my bud and called my wife back. When she answered it was pretty clear she was upset and she says "I hit a deer." Long story short, she centered the stupid thing and it took out the radiator. Damage didn't look too bad, but because of the coolant issue, the car was undriveable. Most importantly, her and my daughter are fine, as my buddy Tom says "they're making new sheet metal everyday..."
Turkeygirl
Ouch! Someone said once bad things come in threes...like death. So wrap everyone in bubble wrap Chris...don't drive anywhere, lol. Glad your family is ok...a car is easier to fix then an injured person. Sorry about your buddy's son, but they can do alot these days with diabetes. I had a couple kids at camp with pumps...they could run them by themselves, etc... Got that right. Sheet metal, plastic and radiators are easily replaced, wives and daughters are not. Yeah Chris my question is....... is her buck bigger than yours? And if so is she the big buck contest winner in your home??????? Glad everyone is fine LOL. Kirk:clown: Put it this way, her doe probably weighed more than my buck and fawn put together. It was a big doe. I'd guess it weighed at least 150. I kicked it off the shoulder down to the guard rail so nobody else would hit it. Wonder how long it took for someone to pick up the doe for the road kill grill? They don't last long around here.

Tominator
Got the news from the garage. Repairs are going to cost just over $3,000. Insurance covered everything except our $100 deductible and the tax on the rental which is $3.53 a day. Garage is saying the car will be ready late next week. Funny thing on the rental car. My wife emailed me yesterday when we were getting this all worked out. Her email went something like this: "Insurance will cover $30 a day for a rental. Enterprise guy said he has a car for us, we'll just have to pay the tax on it which is only $3.53/day. I got a Dodge Viper, hope that's OK." I emailed her back. "I don't know what you got for $3.53, but it wasn't a Viper..." She emailed back. "You're right, it's a Nitro..."
