JimT
Hey.. Who makes a good one? Considering an Eskimo {cheapest price} and a Jiffy. This will be my first one and it needs to last a long long time. Thanks!! Jim
camoman1
I have two Strikemasters and they have served me pretty well. The older one still works good, and the only complaint about the new one is that there is a lot more plastic parts on it than the older one. Plastic and cold usually dont do well together. Around me, Jiffy is probably the most common auger.
JimT
Seems like there a lot of plastic on the newer augers. Why I haven't a clue but there is.

JimT
Power... Have an armstrong one right now, but it is getting old. The auger and me using it...
MNcrittergittr
I'd say Strikemaster makes great augers, some of the best around. I have a Strikemaster lazer mag, that is great! I know a lot of people with old Eskimo and Jiffy augers too that have done their job and served them well over the years. Good luck and good fishin to ya! gzilla45
I have an old Jiffy that is built like a tank and runs like the day I got it. I've heard good things about Strikemasters though also.
craig mack
I have a Jiffy. I like it, it has done a great job in the 4 years that I have used it.
gzilla45
I just watched a show on ice fishing and they had an electric auger that could drill 28 8" holes before needing to be charged again. That is crazy and I want one.
