coles
A couple weeks ago I stopped by the taxidermist to see the progress on my girlfriend's buck she shot. He showed me the boiled skull and then he showed me that the buck had an "ivory" canine tooth just like an elk. Its like a little vampire tooth on the sucker! I have never seen this before or even heard of it. Has any one else? Here is a pic of it

Doe-ee
You'd never even have known about it if you had a head mount done. Wonder how many more have it and don't know? Very unique.:cool2:
c_lou
I think I remember reading something about that in a hunting magazine a while back. It's pretty cool for sure.

Leo
I've cut out a lot of jawbones and never seen that! I wonder if it would actually have been visible above the gumline in the deers mouth before the skull was stripped? Looking closely at the picture it may have easily been below the gumline and hidden. I've only euro mounted one so I guess it's possible I killed one that had that and never knew it. Pretty neat. I'm gonna start looking for that from now on.
