The Kid
Last year i took my first buck with my muzzleloader out in iowa and when i came back I told my dad that he needed to get himself a muzzleloader ,, so he bought one and well today he got to take his brand new gun out that he has never hunted with,, we put the scope on his tc encore endevor a couple days ago and got him all sighted in, Weve been seeing around 5 bucks a night everynight and with the new snow that we recieved today i knew that if he sat in my tree he would have a great oppurtunity to wack a good one,, he said he came out of the thick 40 behind our corn field and got out in front of him at 70 yards and stood there broadside,, he said he wasn't sure if its one he should have shot but he's never shot one with his muzzleloader so he went ahead and made the shot.. dropped him right there in his tracks,, i hear him shoot and i call him up,, he says i shot a small one so i was like well lets go get him,, i figured he shot a tiny one walked up on it and by golly dad your small and my small aren't the same,, ended up having a 15.5 inside spread 6 point no brows... well i said thats a good one to take out of the heard without those brows,, i'm going to do a euro mount for him he was so tickled to death about this guy,, he's still talking about him right now,, he's calling all his brothers and his dad,, he tells me man i think i had more fun shooting that thing with my muzzleloader than if i shot him with a rifle,, i just smiled and said ya i know what you mean,, i'm glad he got to put a buck down with his new gun,, the first time out first shot with the new gun and a buck to boot he connected,, sorry i don't have pictures my sister took my camera for the weekend.. Get out there with your parents i'm telling you theres nothing like havening to drag out a good buck with your old man in the snow :flex:
