 If I was a nfl coach I would not want a player who cries when he loses.:nono: He looks like a baby playing a mans sport.

Not only do I believe that Tim Tebow will always be one of the best college football players ever, but I also believe that you will never find a player that stands for God the way he has.

I'm by no means a Florida fan, nor am I a fan of the style of quarterback Tebow plays; however, I can't help but to respect the guy.

And to each of you talking about him crying.... Did you never walk off the field for the last time? Never lose a close game in the playoffs? The guy has at times this year basically carried this team to where they are by himself.... You don't think he has a right to be disappointed when he comes up short of a National Championship his senior year??? Come on now.....

No kidding give the guy a break. That just shows the kind of emotion the kid plays with, the kinda guy any coach would love to have on their team.

But I guess everyone hates a winner...yay Tebow failed, Hooray!!!:hammer1:

I agree, and that's what I meant by "best athlete". You don't see character like that in players at that level very often. My guess is he won't change much when he's playing on Sunday either.

Are you kidding me?? I dont see how anyone can diss this kid. Must be me but i see that as a sign of how much he cares and loves the game of football. You guys must of forgot about his accomplishments on the field, which are NUMEROUS! Not talk about his ministry work, or his trips to impoverished countries? I have no rooting interest in Florida or Tebow, but people hate because they aren't him. They aren't getting the attention he gets, the perks he gets, the girls he gets, etc...Bottom line, people hate the guy on top.

Don't assume, just because he is the number one football player on the tv and has every chance to talk on the tv, that he is the most religious and Godly player out there. You don't know what other players beliefs are.

Yes and Yes. But I didn't cry. I stood strong to show that I learned from the game, was strong enough to control the emotions to lead my team. But everyone is different and do their different things. I understand that. He has the right to be disappointed and I never said he didn't. I am sure there are many of Seniors that are disappointed in not winning a National Champinionship. Not once did I say he does not have the right to be disappointed.

I don't think I ever said I didn't forget about his accomplishments on the field or his ministry work or trips to impoverished countried. I don't hate one bit that I am not that guy. I would rather live my life not in the spot light like him nor have to prove anything to anybody but myself, my family, my boss and God. It sounds like you are a little bitter you are not him.

It amazes me that everything has to turn into this religion mess. Leave religion out of it! It's almost as bad as the race card.

But all of you make me laughing2.gif Thanks!!!

I cried after the final out of my senior year at the state quarterfinals when we lost 2-3 in 10 innings in 2005. I couldn't control it, it just came out. I'm not a crier, didn't cry at graduation, when cash was born, at funerals, but that was a time I couldn't hold it in. When you put in all your effort, heart and soul, plus time with team mates and memories, it can do it to the strongest of men.

I totally agree and never said otherwise.

So he cried....whatever.

I think him and his team coming up short of thier goal for the season will better prepare him for life in the NFL. He will obviously be drafted very high, if not a #1pick. As we all know, the crappy teams pick first, so he will most likely end up on a crappy NFL team where he is not going to be winning every weekend.

I also feel that as good as he was in college, that he will still struggle his first few NFL seasons like many rookie QBs do.

I would be very suprised if Tebow is taken in the first two rounds, let alone the #1 pick. As much as I like him and respect him for as good of a college player he is, I dont think his game is going to transfer to the NFL unless he changes a lot of things. His delivery is way too slow and I dont think he can make a lot of the throws QBs in the NFL need to make. Having said that though I think he has what it takes mentally to work at and make the changes. He certainly has the leadership qualities already to make him valuable at the NFL level...except that he's apparently a cry baby:hammer1:
