KSlongbeard
I was able to shoot a nice buck, however I did not see much else. All the hunters I spoke with here in Kansas were disapointed with the opening week. Is any body in Kansas seeing deer?
tc2506
didnt see much activity the first few days here (pratt co)but i killed my buck saturday morning he was bedded in a plumb thicket before daylight and i snuck up on him and whistled and he stood for the shot, he is a basic 10 with 3 browtines on right side and a 7in drop, 3in drop on his left and various stickers on both sides, he has a total of 21points with 18 of them being over a inch long. last night my wife killed her first deer a super nice 8pt real tall and massive my buddy measured him today and he grossed 149, i was so proud of her for sticking it out, she has a bad cold but due to work she could only hunt saturday and sunday so against my judgement she decided she was still gonna go, it was spitting ice pellets and freezing cold, she was coughing something terrible and i really thought she would spook everything on the tract we hunt but she stuck it out and patiently waited all afternoon it paid off for her at 4:45 with 1 shot from her 243 at 125yds. i havent had a tape put to mine yet but my buddy is guessing mine will gross somehere right at the 200in mark i,ll try to post some pics of both of them tommorow nite
