Canuck2
Anybody have experience with D-size batteries in cameras in the cold? I have a trail cam that takes 3 D-size batteries and it's currently out in -4F/-20C weather. I'm wondering whether I should go check it and/or replace the batteries, or just give up altogether. billkay
Tough call. Cold can sap batteries pretty quick for sure. Maybe try and set a couple "D"'s outside for a few days and see how they work in a flashlight after a few cold nights. Should give you at least a vague idea how long they'll last in a camera. Just a thought. Best would be to put them in another camera and set it outside at home. I'll bet they hold up better than you'd suspect. Canuck2
Thanks for the ideas, Bill. I think I will leave a flashlight c/w batteries outside overnight and see what transpires.
