mathews4life84
I am taking a shot in the dark here, but I figured it would be worth a try. A buddy of mine and me are trying to plan a bow hunt for next year and I wanted to see if there were any opportunities out in Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Nebraska, or any other state that would have some good bowhunting. We would be willing to pay some money as a trespass fee to hunt someone’s ground. If you know or may even have ground that would be available for hunting next year, please let me know. I would appreciate any leads that you may have. Edited December 7, 2009 by mathews4life84

layin on the smackdown
I am not a fan of this site just because it will eventually lead to my hunting career's demise, but it might help you out... http://www.nationalhuntingleases.com/ dan

The_Kat
Hands down I'd plan a trip to Cambridge, Ohio and hunt the WMA there. There are big bucks all over that place....just a bit tough to catch. Tags only 164$ for everything....hard to beat.
hoythunter37
Well I used to work at a hunting outfitter and we have some lease land that might need someone to hunt. I have personally scouted it and hunted it a little bit (but mostly scouted). If you are wanting a lease for a good price I can see if I can get you a good deal. I still work out there alot. or if you are looking for a 5 day or however long hunt I am pretty sure I can get you a really good deal. Its in MO. If you want to know anything else just PM me and I will let you know anything. Matt

I know some people that have gone to Ohio bow hunting, but don't really know a lot about it. If you buy the license and tags, do all you have to do is drive to the land. And, can you use a climber. Do they have any other rules and regulations that make it a little harder on out of state hunters?
Tony
the WMA near cambridge Ohio is Salt Fork State Park. they have a website you can check out. i hunted a lot of years there when i lived in Ohio and theres a ton of ground to roam. http://http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/outdoorfun/ohiohunting/tabid/503/Default.aspx http://http://www.saltforkresort.com/ Iowa has a some ground i know of thats public hunting, but doesnt get a lot of attention. but you need to draw a tag and nothings guarenteed you will see a huge buck. i could probably put you on to some ground where you can see some bucks and does, but i wont say you will see a 140 or above. no charge at all. just motels and food and gas. but for my money, why not look into going out west to hunt Antelope, Mulies or Elk. some places you can get tags over the counter and bowhunt elk( Colorado). or draw a tag for Wyoming or Montana and hunt deer or antelope. it takes a little more planning, but its sure worth it.
