Widowmaker
This past year was the first year that I put out a food plot. I am wanting to help the herd with mineral supplements, but because I live in Indiana, there are rules that you can't hunt over minerals nor the ground that has been affected by the product. I would put them in a spot that I would never be hunting, but I also don't want to affect the deer travel patterns. Any suggestions?
joeaveragehunter
If you place them along an existing trail that you aren't hunting over, it shouldn't affect travel. They will still come to your plots if you have minerals in different place. Last year I had mine about 150 yards off of food plot. I got pics of deer in plot and same deer half hour later at the minerals... then an hour later they were back at the clover.
