ricfirefighter
Started throwing the idea around of going back home and doing a hunt with my real Dad. I have never hunted with him since him and my mom split when I was 5 but really want to while I have the chance. Now the question is I'm looking at 2011, how hard is it for me to get an out of state tag and should I put in for a preferance point in 2010 to better my chances? Second question my Dad lives in Topeka, were would be a good area?
SE_KSBowhunter
It wouldn't hut to put in for a preferance point in 2010 just to help your chances but I don't think you should have any problem getting a tag the way the regs are now. They seem to change them often though so who knows how it will be then. I don't know the Topeka area very well as far as the hunting goes but I know there are several good deer taken in the Northwest/Northcentral part of the state. Let me know if you need more info and I will do what I can to help, it's good that you are wanting to do this with your dad. Better late than never while you have the chance. Good luck!
