Adjam5
I trap but have not come across one of these yet. This was given to me by a neighbor upstate at my hunting camp. He didn't do such a good job skinning it around the face, the lower jaw skin is missing, so he offered it to me. It will go up on the country house wall with the other pelts I have trapped. The Fisher was sealed today by NYSDEC so I could have it tanned. This is one very cool animal. The claws it has mean business. This animal actually seeks out Porcupines to eat! This is the 1st one I have ever gotten to see outside of a picture of one. I thought I'd share a few pics of it if you have never seen one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisher_(animal)

camoman1
Fishers are pretty cool. I had one hunting red squirrels by my treestand one evening. I started lip squeaking at him and he actually circled completely downwind and came and stood 10 feet from the base of my tree and looked at me....he then took off lol Smart little devils. Shaun_300
Cool pelt Anthony! They are quite common up in this area, my uncle is a trapper and he gets quite a few each winter. I've seen them while out hunting too. They can be mean little buggers! You definitely wouldn't want to corner one.
Prairiepredator
They would be an awesome animal to trap!
redkneck
You taught me a little something Anthony, had never heard of one, or cant remember if I did. Minks down here I suppose are the closest I've seen to something like that.
Adjam5
Thanks for the comments guys. I will be sending out a box shortly for tanning with all types of fur that I have trapped this year so far. Mostly coons, one yote, a bobcat and this fisher. I have to say any animal that seeks out a porcupine to eat has to be one bad azz critter. I think the Fisher has become my favorite weasel
col3
I caught one last year , not on purpose at all, i was actualy trying to trap some yotes, but when i checked the trap there was a big ol fisher in it, deffinatley a very interesting animal, and not somthing i would want to have mad at me haha
