Remington 870 super mag. full camo, sling attachments at wal-mart...$330..

If you have the money for a Benelli, go for it..

I happened to get my Benelli Supernova for just under $600.

...It came with Advantage timber camo, three chokes, and shims to adjust the drop-of-comb and length of pull so it fits perfect.

ya i think im going with the supernova ive herd its a great gun for 549

As I said you can adjust the Benelli, but the Remington 870 pump is legendary. The Mossberg 500 will work too. It was my first shotgun and many critters fell to it. I'd go pick them up at a shop or store to get a feel for it before you buy if you're not buying one right then and there. The Benelli can take up to 3.5" mag loads, can be stripped down without tools, has a weather resistant coating throughout, and comes with a ComforTech stock as a recoil reducing feature. Some of these features are thing you should look for, as with the adjustability of the stock if applicable. Good luck

Benelli makes a great gun, but you are going to pay for it. Remington just came out with their 887 which is comparable to the Benelli Super Nova. I have shouldered each and they are comparable to one another. Mossberg, while known for being cheap and clunky, have been known to shoot great by a large number of people. All I can say is to go and shoulder all of them and find the one that fits you best has the best feel for being shouldered. Like someone already mentioned Benelli's are super easy to strip down and clean. I can have my M2 broken down into the major components in under 30 seconds and that is all without tools.

You can ask this question a million times and you are goint to hear a million different answers, it all comes down to personal preferance.:hammer1:

I would go with the 870 express. I shoot for everything, used to use it for deer before rifles were legal. Shoot three inch number 3's for geese and ducks, 2 3/4 number 6 or 7's for pheasan. and Light trap loads for it. You can get a decelerator pad and a mercury shock tube to put in the stock to reduce felt recoil for trap if need be.

i have three 870 . two are wing master mag 3 inch chamber. other is the supper mag 3.5 inch chamber. they are all 3 great guns . i don't shoot the 3.5 much due the fact i dont water foul hunt much. but if you buy one spend extra $ and get the combo with slug barrel . you might need it later if your in shot gun deer hunt state. jmo
