If you wil be using it for waterfowl and deer than the Remington 870 is the way to go. If you are going to be using it to hunt upland birds I would chose a Browning BPS. The reason for this is that the safety on the Remington 870 is on the front of the trigger guard. It can be difficult to deactivate the safety quickly when a big rooster gets up right at your feet. If your hunting ducks you usually see them coming and have a few seconds to work the safety. :gun2: The safety on the Browning is a tang safety on top of the reciever and is much quicker to deactivate.
