Setting the Alabama rushing record against all of those awesome SEC defenses probably won it for him with a topping of going to the BCS Nat'l Champ game.... Everybody had great arguements for a winner this year except for Tebow IMO.....

I figured it would be him or Gerhart, really thought Gerhart would get it. Glad to see a local kid get it though :D

They said on ESPN it was "Mark Ingram Day" in Flint today....

against all of those awesome SEC defenses

Don't even get me started man.

Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, and LSU can play defense, I'll give you that. Here's a little Muggsbow reality for you.

Team Defensive standings:

South Carolina 21st

Tennesse 27th

Kentucky 43rd

Vanderbilt 47th

Arkansas 61st

Georgia 69th

Miss St. 71st

Auburn 72nd

Wake up guys.

Haha that works both ways. Each of those defenses have to go up against the best offenses each week. I'm not trying to make a case for Ingram because I believe and wanted Gerhart to win it, but if you honestly don't believe that the best defenses are in the SEC then you need to wake up.

I knew someone was going to say this....:hammer1:

Yeah man, for sure, those offensive jugernauts of South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Miss. St., Tennessee, and Georgia.

SEC has three very strong teams at the top...the rest are average at best. And you can say the exact same thing about the Pac 10, the Big 12, and the Big Ten.

Just because southerners are that into college football, doesn't mean the team's they follow are so much superior to the rest of the country.

Tenn (a marque program in that conference) #30

Georgia #55

Kentucky #60

South Carolina (with that Ole' Ball Coach at the helm) #92

Vanderbilt #109

I know...I know...it's because of the "awesome defenses."

The reality is the SEC has had some good teams lately, so they're the flavor of the month in the media's eyes...they're in turn telling you how to think Rhine. It was the ACC in the late 80s and 90s, and within the last 4-5 years it's moved onto the SEC.

Actually, and this is really what is driving this public perception, is that the SEC's run has come in the founding years of the BCS system. So, you combine all that corporate influenece, with America's short-term memory and short attention span...you get this idea that the SEC is full of superhuman Dlineman that can run a 3.73 forty yard dash.

Even if the facts don't support it.

THE SEC WON"T Play Boise State

I wish Ohio State would, they'd smoke them.

Boise hasn't seen a defense like my Buckos would roll out there. I'd like to see said beat down occur on that terrible looking blue turf too. The away whites, of the Scarlet and Grey would look awesome out there.
