As you all know, Ashley and I are expecting our first baby any day now. Well, I thought it was only fair of me to propose to her and ask that she be my wife since she is bearing my child. I love her very much and I want to spend the rest of my life with her! SHE SAID YES! I'm so excited for the baby to get here and we can start our family!

Thanks for all your support everybody, Ashley will post pics once she transfers them to the computer.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that I didn't actually plan on going to that Hatebreed concert that I posted about, I only did that so I could surprise Ashley at school, she thought I was in Milwaukee but when she went to Red Lobster with her mom and mine I was waiting at a table for 2 for her, she was really surprised. Later after the meal while we were waiting for dessert I got down on 1 knee and proposed.

Thank you everyone! It was definitely a surprise and I had a mouth full of shrimp when he asked me, so I couldn't actually say "yes" at first! LOL! It was really nice though. Everyone cheered and clapped :) Here is a picture of the ring! It's so pretty and exactly the style/type I wanted. My fingers look so puffy, but there's not a whole lot I can do about that right now being nine months pregnant, haha! Hopefully in just a few short days, he'll be here and then it will fit right :)

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention: we went to the casino after dinner with my mom and his mom and we won $150 playing a Wheel of Fortune game! Hahaha!

O.K. Here's a question for you girls. If a guy proposes in a public place with lots of people around, are you sort'a compelled to say "YES" as it would create a VERY awkward moment if you said "NO" or even "we'll see" or "we'll talk about it later"?

One of the guys I used to work with just proposed to his commonlaw girlfriend at a local bar on wing night. There was a heap of people around and I think they were both a little tipsy at the time when he dropped down on one knee. She eventually said "YES" , but it took her a few seconds to think about it. I'd have liked to been a little fly on the wall the next morning to hear the first words coming out of their mouths! He took a lot of good humoured ribbing at work the next day!:hammer1:

I'm in my 40th year of marriage (and yes to the same woman), and it was so long ago, I'm not sure I can actually remember how the whole proposal thing went down. If it was anything like the next 40 years of my marriage, I think she likely told me we were getting married.......HEY! Now that I think about it, I was DOOPED! :bang:

All kiddin' aside, CONGRATS to both of you, on your upcoming nuptuals and the pending birth of your child.
