buckee
Beautiful shots Mike. It's pretty tough to get shots of pheasants, because they are so dang elusive. That's one awesome looking rub. Huge tree ... Huge buck

Tominator
Good stuff Mike. Wonder if those pheasants are pen birds. Don't see wild birds in the open like that much.
ruttinbuc
Thanks everyone! Every picture tells a story... Yes Chris, they are pen birds. Our wild stocks have been long gone. These things are easy to kill. Like chickens really! These birds were stocked by our group, but end up on the semi wild. There were seven al together. I took about 20 pictures of them... Adjam5
Nice pics Mike. If you could shoot 'em with the cam you could have shot 'em period. Is that a Joy-see sunrise?

Yes Anthony, it is a trick to get them to fly. They don't know they can... No, it is a Joisy sunrise over my favorite fishing hole!

Were you in your stand when you took the photos of the doe and fawn? Amazing how they blend in... There are a bunch of resident Canada's on the reservoir, Dan. The snow geese have been flying in on their trip back north. They are starting to gather now. Thousands will eventually stay for awhile. I was on my way to the stand when I saw these deer laying up. It was very cold and windy. They laid there for awhile before mother stood up. I walked away and saw her lay back down when peeking back. I saw this pair on a few occasions.
