Ohiobucks
I made a very poor shot on a great whitetail buck back on November 15, remember this thread: http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92962 It's been almost a month of doubt, not knowing if the shot was ultimately fatal or not. Well, my landowner friend called me last Friday afternoon and said he's got some new video on one of his trail cameras of the same buck. He's limping a bit, still kind of shaky on his back legs, but moving just fine and looking otherwise healthy. He made it through Ohio's gun season (so far, 2 days left this coming Sat/Sun). I'll be out there after him yet with my bow, ML, and also shotgun, but I'm just glad he is still out there. Talk about a huge relief. Ohiobucks
The video on Youtube is of 5-6 different videos back to back. They were all from Friday evening Dec 4, then at the end of the video, I walk through on Dec 5. We just finished a drive.....
redkneck
That's great. Hopefully he'll give you another chance, but best of all he aint buzzard buffet by now.
hoosierhunter
Wow crazy video. He looks like he's still messed up pretty good though. In that one video he darn near fell down just standing there. I can't imagine he can run for anything. If the yotes find him he isn't getting away. My guess would be that he will sit as tight as he can with danger in view because he knows he can't get away. Makes you wonder if you have walked right by him and not known it! Good thing is now you know you still got a chance to get him! Good luck and I want to see some pictures of him with you holding those horns!! ruttinbuc
He does look like he is hurting pretty good. Resilient critters they are. He don't trust that camera, either. :ninja:

buckee
I don't imagine he's going to wonder too far from that food source. He knows he really needs it right now. Sure is a great looking buck Tom. I hope you get another chance at him.
camoman1
Hopefully you can get another crack at him. He may not make the winter if he cant get around real well. He looks like a meal for a group of hungry 'yotes.
wtnhunt
You must not have too many yotes around your area. Amazing he is still alive, bet Steve is right that he is not moving around anymore than he has to. Hope you can put him down soon Tom, good luck. cb11
I got agree with an earlier statement, he's not going to go far from that food source that banged up. I'd try and find the thickest bedding area close to that feeder/camera and setup around the edges of it and try to take him out of his misery. I know he wouldn't make it around my neck of the woods either, yotes woulda had a field day with him. Good luck.

Ohiobucks
No recent sightings of him, no new trail camera pics either. Not sure if he is still upright and kicking or not. Those videos were on Friday evening of gun season, we still had that Saturday and Sunday left in the first gun season, then an extra weekend as well. My friend has not heard of any of his neighbors shooting him, or finding him dead. I'm hoping no news is good news. I'm still after him though, I've got one tag left, it either goes on him or it's eaten whole......
wtnhunt
Good luck Tom. The way he was moving, would not think he would be too far from that camera. Hope you get to put your tag on the deer.
Tominator
Good luck Tom. The way he was moving, would not think he would be too far from that camera. Hope you get to put your tag on the deer. I got quite the start when I was out there with Tom last week. I was sitting there looking towards the neighbor's property where we think he's bedding down. Around 5 p.m. I saw a nice set of antlers popping up over the hill, but it turned out to be a different deer.
