Christmas Trees

My family and I went out and cut our xmas tree last weekend (That's right, it's a real one, not silicone...er I mean fake!). I just put it up yesterday and will be stringing the lights tomorrow if all goes well.

I've always had a real tree, although all three of my kids, who've all moved out, have all been lured to the dark side and acquired a costume tree. (OH the shame!)

We have ours in the house thawing out. Andy and my dad tried putting it in the stand, but the trunk was too frozen for the screws to catch on and allow the tree to be able to stand. It fell over a few times and is now currently leaning on the deer heads on the wall until we can get it in the stand right!

Always get a real one. Put ours up Friday, and decorated it Saturday. My littlest child (Matthew age 7) pestered his mother and I relentlessly for 3 or 4 days. Matt was the sole decorator this year. My wife attached the hooks to the ornaments, and Matt hung them. Except for the ones at the top, he did the whole tree, and I must say, he did an excellent job. I was really impressed. :cool2:
