Have You Lied On This Forum?

I've been on here for something like 6 1/2 years, sometimes 12 months per year. I'm calling everyone out to start 2010 right.

I say everyone on here has lied on this Forum in order to look a little more ethical than they actually are.

That's right! I don't believe all this personal propaganda that no one has taken a > 50 yard shot at a deer once in their life during bow season.

Or that you look for your deer for "hours" all the time. That you never hopped anyone's fence to check out their hunting stand or retrieve a deer.

I'm not saying that everyone here is UNethical. I'm saying that if you read these forum posts - it reads like the only 1,000 ethical hunters that exist are on this forum (which is BS), OR that only ethical hunters post here (which again is BS).

Since humanity dictates that people will lie in order to make themselves look GOOD - I want to know if you EVER lied or stretched the truth to make yourself look a little bit MORE ethical than you are.

That includes if you posted a comment or even a sidebar that made you look more ethical OR you didn't post something or left out details because it would make you look LESS ethical. This would be done to avoid criticism from your peers (other members) or from the administrators. Also to avoid animal rights advocates criticizing hunters and having a permanent record of exploitations by trolling this Bulletin Board - Administrators, this means you.

Examples:

Shot a few minutes early or later than legal

Put more shots in your shotgun tube than the state allows

Shot something out of season

Shot something and then bought the tag for it later - Or - used someone else's tag

Didn't tag it at all

Trespassed on purpose, even if it was just to look

Didn't wear orange when you should have - even after you were in a treestand

Illegally parked your car

Drove on public land to get a deer instead of dragging it

Shot a deer, then dragged it to the road and put blood on your headlights and told the police you hit it (yikes)

- anything.

I'll be the first one to admit it. YES

What purpose does this thread serve?

I have no problem with answering the question, however I too question what your point is, is there some reason for this post you would like to share with us.

Are you asking about deliberately misleading or telling "white lies" or inadvertent exaggerations or what.

Everyone is not going to agree on what is and is not ethical, that is one of those topics that has come up here several times. Assuming that is not what you are really asking about here.

Wow...this should get fun...I can honestly say Iwould be lying if I said this thread didn't make me smile when I saw it:eat::boo:

Like the others said, what is your point? And who's business is it if someone didn't quite tell the truth? The only one you answer to is GOD when it comes down to it...We are all sinners, no one is perfect.

So anyway, what's this REALLY about? Forums not interesting enough for you these days?:argue:

"Administrators, this means you" Hmmm....actually I'm a moderator

Ridonkulously stupid!!!

LOL!...serioulsy?...This is what you're goin with? Ok man...

Well, if everyone here is as unethical as you claim they are, do you really think your "question" would get answered honestly?

I agree with other posts, sounds like you made up your mind...what did you expect, that droves of poachers would suddenly turn themselves in? This thread is idiotic, and actually comical. I think Tominator and Camoman pretty much said it...

I dunno what happened along the way, if you got a bad taste in your mouth from an experience or if you are in a goofy area or what, but you give up bowhunting because it isn't easy enough for ya, then ya come here, generalize and blast everyone most of which if not all you don't even know...

I have NEVER even though about some of the crazy things you are coming from way out in left field with. Just because you are an idiot doesn't mean everyone is...is this to rat out other people or to clear your own conscience?...

ridiculous...

I've been on here for something like 6 1/2 years, sometimes 12 months per year. I'm calling everyone out to start 2010 right.

Obama is in office.......it will never start out right.

I say everyone on here has lied on this Forum in order to look a little more ethical than they actually are.

That's jumping the gun there bud.

That's right! I don't believe all this personal propaganda that no one has taken a > 50 yard shot at a deer once in their life during bow season.

Where's the proof???

Or that you look for your deer for "hours" all the time. That you never hopped anyone's fence to check out their hunting stand or retrieve a deer.

Again.....where's the proof???

I'm not saying that everyone here is UNethical. I'm saying that if you read these forum posts - it reads like the only 1,000 ethical hunters that exist are on this forum (which is BS), OR that only ethical hunters post here (which again is BS).

Really?? Not according to the second paragraph.

Since humanity dictates that people will lie in order to make themselves look GOOD - I want to know if you EVER lied or stretched the truth to make yourself look a little bit MORE ethical than you are.

People with low self esteem will.

That includes if you posted a comment or even a sidebar that made you look more ethical OR you didn't post something or left out details because it would make you look LESS ethical. You heard him Scott............we're all ears!!!! :hammer1:

Examples:

Shot a few minutes early or later than legal

There's a legal time to shoot??

Put more shots in your shotgun tube than the state allows

Is there really a limit?

Shot something out of season

What's a season?

Shot something and then bought the tag for it later - Or - used someone else's tag

Didn't tag it at all

Tags are for dogs.

Trespassed on purpose, even if it was just to look

Hey, I was just lookin.

Didn't wear orange when you should have - even after you were in a treestand

You sposed to eat oranges, not wear em.....duh!

Illegally parked your car

It's called PUBLIC LAND for a reason.

Drove on public land to get a deer instead of dragging it

And I repeat it's called PUBLIC LAND for a reason

Shot a deer, then dragged it to the road and put blood on your headlights and told the police you hit it (yikes)

Nope, I'd have to wash the lights off then......it's much easier skinnin it in the woods and putting it in a cooler or even the tool box!

- anything.

I'll be the first one to admit it. YES

Sorry........I can't leave this alone............:bang: :hammer1: :wacko::fish: :hammer2: :chair:

You start out talking about lying and then you switch to ethics. I suppose you could have a liar that is ethical or an unethical non-liar. Or some combination of the above.

I will answer your question this way, if someone stretched (or in this case shrunk) the truth and said they took a 40 yard bow shot when it was actually a 50 yard shot is quite a bit different than say someone that entered a deer in last years deer contest and then tried to enter the same deer in this years contest.

I imagine there are a few people who have lied on here an not gotten caught in it, but there are also a few that have tried to lie in a serious way, gotten caught & gotten banned. That is the great thing about the internet, it is so easy to research info to verify what someone has said.

So, you openly admit that your ethics are lacking, so are you a liar also? Or maybe you are just lying about your ethics?

I would suggest using extreme caution in the way you answer the above questions.

This is funny!

Does shooting a turkey with his head on your property and the rest of his body on the neighbors count? This dang turkey would not cross the fence but kept sticking his head thru the wire to attempt to cross but was hesitant. I watched this for 10 minutes. Finally when he stretched his head through the wire I shot. His head though was on my property.

Man--I feel better now. This has been bothering me for years:bang:
