I am set for the rest of this and next season now! Gonna wait for the ladder stands to drop a little more and I;ll get one of those as well, maybe one of the ground blinds to add to my other one...Hope your area has 'em! camoman1
Thanks for the heads-up. I will have to go into town and check out what they got.
wtnhunt
Hope your area has 'em! Nope, our stores clearance stuff this year pretty well stinks. They do have the scarface decoys marked down from $158 to $128, what a bargain eh. lol. Too much for this cheapskate. They had had about 20 of those things out on the floor back a couple weeks ago. Never had any climbing sticks in individual 4 ft sections here all season, just boxed 16 ft sets.
ruttinbuc
The small stuff like soap and scents are reduced here. Got a good deal on 777. No great shakes on anything else. Not that I need anything, but I like to keep an eye out for a bargain. Some srtuff never gets reduced.

layin on the smackdown
holy crap!! I wouldn't go back there after that steal!! Actually, it sounds like one of their employees marked the tags wrong...WOW! I've never heard of a $13 tree stand. Nice find.
Illinois59
Well, i drove to the local walmart here in central florida. No stands, steps or nothin! Had to try. Thanks for the heads up. :bang:
ruttinbuc
Yea, not all Walmarts are created equal as far as their sporting goods departments go...The one close to home here gets hardly anything for the seasons and the one 20 minutes away has more than they can sell. Just have to hit them right for the discounts. Never hurts to call and see if a particular item you are looking for has been reduced. rhine16
I've got two different stores that I'm waiting on the price of the lock ons and sticks to drop. I'll be buying some if they do...
gurnzman
most of the stores around here dont put the stands on clearance just keep em for next year. Youll see that theyve changed the boxes but there will be several in last years boxes. The main thing that goes on clearence are clothing and scent control. The best deal ive gotten has been on food plot and attractants.
arrow32
All sold out of stands and pretty much everything else.

fly
Bought a Remington Jacket that I had my eye on in the early season on sale from 59.99 down to 30.00. Picked one up yesterday. It's a great ealy season jacket that will repel burrs. It's quiet and very comfortable. I spent too many hours picking burrs out of my clothes this season! Mooresville Rocket
Pennsylvania deer season is not over until the end of Jan, so most stores around here do not put anything on sale until at least Feb or March. I have bought coats, jackets, hats, gloves, boots, camo clothes, and even a one piece insulated hunting suit when it was on sale. Most things they sell is not as good of a quality as what you might buy in a high price store. But if it is on sale and you bought it and then you tore it going across a barb wire fence, then it doesn't matter if it cost $100 or $10.. My opinion is to buy the best you can afford and keep it as nice as you can for as long as you can and when it is no longer any good for hunting, you can use it at work and around the house. When it gets too many holes in it, you can tear it up and use it as a grease rag. Scents do not go bad inside of a bottle and most calls will last one or more years if they are any good. Nothing wrong with buying something on sale as long as it still works.

ruttinbuc
There are a ton of stores within an hour from me in each direction. I used to go to all of them to see what they had. The question is "how much of this stuff do you possibly need?" I know I see a lot of there items for sale at the tackle swaps here and there. It is nice to catch it right for some of the things you go through.
