wtnhunt
If any of the data was stored on the card, possible it may be able to be recovered.
jbeck
I'm thinking the Sims card should still be good, good luck
redkneck
I went through 2 new LG vu's in 3 months this year, they're no iPhone, but still not cheap either. After that I went and got a $30 prepaid one at wally-world and put my sim in there. You get mad at yourself for doing stupid crap with them, but just go get another and get over it! Is your phone still working at all? Or just no data in it? Might try the rice trick, it does work for some folks.
Turkeygirl
Yeah, when we have our radios at camp get wet, we immediately turn them off, put them in some rice....helps them. The key is turning it off right away...so there lays your problem. Hopefully you can recover some stuff off it...otherwise probably will be getting a new phone. I don't have a cell phone though...well we have 1 phone in the family that is just a motorola for emergencies or whatever...otherwise I'm cell phone free and proud of it,lol

We have an lg pay as you go phone I bought from wal mart that I sent with the wife and my oldest daughter to Alaska, it has a sims card. Pull the battery cover out and look. GWSmith
Yes it definitely has a SIM card...underneath the battery. I just added minutes to my Wife Tracfone and theres a card there. I have to ask you though why you plugged the phone in to charge it when it was wet??? Any electronic device should have the battery removed immediately and not plugged in until it's completely dry! HUNTINGMAN
I learned the hard way that you dont try to recharge you phone when it may still be wet or damp inside. It will short the phone out and fry the inside. As stated above, you should have put it in rice to draw out the moisture and not plugged it up.Go get a new on,this one will probably never be the same again. gurnzman
a lot of those new phones such as ours with verizon do not have sim cards the info is programmed in. With my blackberry it would get moisture in it sometimes and the data would appear to be lost but after it would dry out it all came back maybe you will be this lucky
