jcwa
http://www.lightforce.com/products/portable-systems They are expensive lights, but they are worth it. I use the 170mm ‘Striker’ and the RMSM 170.
redkneck
I paid about $90 for a scope mounted light, I think it was an Optronics brand. Very disappointing, battery life was awful.
Adjam5
Save the dough and bring a partner to hold the light. I use the 2,000,000 candle power spotlight we got at wally world. I think it was $29 with 2 lenses(yellow and red). One is a shooter and the other is a lamper. John, I too bought the Optronics scope mounted light and it bit big time. Light didn't project the distance advertised, battery box was a PITA and it wasn't bright enough. I brought it back to Gander Mtn.and went with the hand held spot light. I think Costco sells a 10,000,000 candle power spot light for like $50. Rechargeable too.
Texan_Til_I_Die
I like the old Q Beam Varmint Special. I don't like anything over about 500,000 CP for night hunting. If you can't call one in closer than 100 yards at night, something is wrong.
