I have a friend of mine who says he just inherited one...I have never heard of it, and can't seem to find any information on it. I was wondering if this is an antique rifle or just something i have never heard of. any info would be greatly appreciated. Shaun_300
.385? Never heard of that caliber, I know they made them in a .38-55 a long time ago. Have any pics of it? Only other possibility I can think of is you made a typo and meant to say .375, the .375 Win was also known as the "Big Bore 94" made in a Winchester lever action, my uncle has one of those. Texan_Til_I_Die
He probably got the numbers mixed up. The 358 Winchester is a fairly common caliber.
Sweatty09
has anyone heard of a I saw that sedio came out with another battery a 3200mah battery. It is suppose to offer 77 longer battery life compared to the 1800mah standard battery. I was wondering has anyone tried it and if so how does the new battery cover bother you? Thanks for any info. Strut10
Good chance your friend inherited a Big Bore Model 94 in .375 Winchester. Or he could have gotten a Model 94 in 38-55. Could also have gotten a .358 Winchester levergun. The .358 Win could be had in the Savage 99 and the Browning BLR levers.

Agreed, sounds like he transposed the numbers eight and five. The Winchester M88 was available in .358 Win, just a necked up 308 case. A picture or model number would easily narrow it down. Strut10
Does the rifle look like one of these?? Browning BLR: (can also have a straight grip stock) Savage 99: (can also have a pistol grip and Monte Carlo stock) Winchester 88: Winchester 94:
