bmet7393
I have been staring at the neat camo clothing advertising scent Blocker features. I understand that nothing can get rid of all of your scent. Is it worth the cost? I know some of these companies are sponsors of realtree and you won't want to talk poorly about their product but what is the real truth? Thanks,
stevebeilgard
welcome to the forums. the truth is we do not allow any product bashing of any product here, for any reason. that said, scent blocker is an excellent product. now, worth the money is a personal decision. bmet7393
Thanks for replying. I do apologize if I came across as if I wanted someone to bash a product. I do like to hunt in close. Anything that would help accomplish that is good. I was just really wanting an opinion if you would spend the money on it again. Tim Andrus
Now Im as Scent Lok man, I dont go anywhere with out it. If SL or SB is what your wearing and a shooter buck comes in and gets downwind of you and it keeps your scent intact t o give you that shot....its done its job ! AdvantageTimberLou
I like Scent Lok myself, and I do believe Scent Lok sells its rights for the carbon process to Scent Blocker so the same protection is in both garments. Basically goes off feel and comfort. I love my Timberfleece 360 suit by Scent Lok. Granted it may not help with 100% of your scent but every little bit helps. davetucker
Like lou said.. both are the same idea!! Therefore i use both!! I buy it whenever i can!! I bought my first suit (roadtrips xlt) three yrs ago when i was on my first bear hunt!! I thought i was doing everything i could to hunt scentwise and was seeing alot of bear signs(plus they were eating my bait)!! They just weren't coming in while i was there!! I bought my scentlok suit and boom the first night my bear came in!!! So yes it does work!!

buckdeer
I agree!Although its not the only thing you need for a successful hunt but it sure helps your odds!To me totally worth it.Just try a hunt with it and a hunt without it.You will be amazed at the results. MUDRUNNER
I have a Scent Blocker Dream Season suit that I won from Drury's a a few years ago. Wether it works as advertised is hard to say. I still hang my stands downwind of where I think the deer will travel. I still get winded a few times a year, and there are times when deer are downwind and don't smell me. I can't really say that i've seen a difference since i've been wearing it. It is a nice piece of camo and has some great features. The stuff is so expensive, I don't know that I would go out and buy a buy a suit unless it was a great deal. Try to plan best as possible for the wind and use good scent control practices. Even the guys in the high dollar suits on tv get picked off while wearing their carbon clothes from head to toe when there appears to be little to no wind, so it would seem there is some question as to how effective they really are. As for my own experience I have one complete set of scent lok clothes(boots, socks, pants, gloves, hat, and shirt) and have had deer downwind bust me with it on and have also had deer come from downwind with no scent lok and come in right under me. Honestly cannot say as though it has made any difference in the number of deer I see. Glad I bought my scent lok stuff on sale, was not too much more expensive at the prices I paid for it above regular quality camo.
DropTine49
I have a ScentBlocker jacket, and a Medalist Scent Eliminator Suit. I just bought all three with the end of season camo sales. My uncle wears the ScentBlocker suit that is very compatable with the Medalist suit, but Medalist is a little cheaper.
