rad_112176
Its my understanding that when the pressure is rising or falling it causes deer to move more. Does anyone hunt according to this and if so what do you think is better (rising or falling). I know that this usually happens when a front is coming or leaving and that is why it is always best to hunt just before or after a front. What alot of people miss is that the pressure can have big shift days before an actually storm shows up. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all, Bobby
Ethan Givan
Good question. I have always wondered which was better, rising or falling pressure, and what others thought about it. It will be interesting to see what others have to say. I personally hunt anytime without paying any attention to barometric pressure. Ravin R10 man
Pressure influences alot of things deer movement and even child birth...
HUNTINGMAN
I'm not sure if it's riseing or falling but most of my luck has came the day before a front gets here .
rad_112176
Well, i did a little more research on it last night and have found out that deer feed best when the the pressure is 29.88 - 30.29 weather it is rising or falling. This could be at any time of the day. Usually when the presssure is falling it means clearer skys and colder weather to come. When it is rising usually means cloudier days but don't always mean rain. It does mean rain will be in the area but maybe not where you are at. If the pressure is staying steady and it is greatly below or above the measurements above then the deer will probably not move all that great. I guess the bottom line is to hunt as much as you can but i do take off work alot of days throughout season and like as much information as i can on which days to sneak back in town early. Any more thoughts on this would still be greatly appreciated.

I better do a little more research on this one. Don't need any more kids at this time in my life. LOL
SonnyThomas
Personally, I've always blamed the atmospherical conditions at my geological location for my bad shots.
layin on the smackdown
I personally favor high pressure days...Its not going to be a factor in whether or not i go, but i always like days when we have a high pressure system...those days are normally the days when it is super calm, crisp and very quiet. either way, if im off of work, im going to the woods.
