Understand Tony

both are very solid bucks. if im after a bigger buck in my area, they both walk. while they are both very good bucks, you cant shoot a 180 if you shoot a 140.

sorry dan, but i have to let them both walk..

Tony

My cousins hunting your state this coming week, I wouldnt shoot either of them if I lived in Iowa as well. Good luck this tournament season. Might be coming to Iowa to turkey hunt. Got an invite. Buddys wanting to shed hunt my cousins acres and I want to smoke some turkeys.

there are so many circumstances that could fall into play that would really help me decide on the first buck...If i had time to judge him, and if it was early in the season, and if i knew there were bigger ones out there, i would pass on the first one...Thats really easy to say though, while im sitting behind a computer looking at a picture and being able to confidently say that he needs one more year....things change in the stand...

The second buck, he is getting an arrow flung his way without a doubt. he looks to be a mature deer, i'd say he's 4.5, so he is on the hit list.

There is no way I wouldnt fling an arrow in their direction. Hitting them would be another thing. No offense to anyone that would pass those deer up but to get a white tail that close with that kind of rack would be crazy not to fling one unless that have just 180-190 deer on their property. Great deer though

with bucks like this running around, its called control. if you have bigger bucks than the ones Dan posted and if you want a shot at the big boys, then you must pass on the smaller ones.

Im not going to lie,I would more than likekly shoot either deer with my bow.The second deer looks to be an older more mature deer and I wouldnt hesitate a bit,the first one looks young and would be truly great with another year on him.Knowing the hunting pressure around my hunting area would help determin if I would shoot the first one,if I thought he would make it to next year I would let him walk,if I thought he had a bad chance of makeing it I would be pulling the string back on him.
