The_Kat
Well they've been talking about this major snow storm that was supposed to miss southeastern Oklahoma for a few days. I wasn't worried about it at all, but I guess something changed between 10pm last night and now, because all the sudden they're calling for freezing rain switching to snow with 3-6 inches of snow by tonight with drifts up to 3 foot with high winds and bone chilling temps. I know that is nothing for you guys up north, but it will shut Oklahoma down lol. It's looking like we may get our first white Christmas in along time.:pacman:
wtnhunt
Be safe bud. They were calling for snow here last week, instead we got yet more rain and more on the way, not really something we needed. Not supposed to be any chance for flurries here until tomorrow, but we are supposed to get up to 2 more inches of rain today. Wind advisory and wind watch, sustained winds to 20 to 30, gusting from 50 to 60.

MCH
It would be nice to have a white christmas, but I'm not holding my breath. The last white christmas I can remember was the year I got my first gun(.410). Let's see....I would've been 13 then and I'm 36 now.:D Pretty sure we've had a few dustings since then, but from the pics of that year, we got at least 6 inches. White Christmas for Oklahoma, green, muddy rain affair for Ohio. Enjoy it, wish we would get snow, but we're scheduled for rain.
coondog
12 inches and still falling I am right in the middle of the state. We usually get some snow 3-6 inches maybe a bit more we get lots of ice and sleet every year but nothing like this since I was to young to remember. looks like single digits all next week with highs in the 20's cold cold. I do remember it snowing on Halloween day one year as I was sittin in a ground blind with my smoke gun. Ya'll stay warm and Merry Christmas

Supposed to taper off around midnight with anywhere from 4-8 inches total. Mom and dad called and said it is a mess up their way. Lots tragedy on the roads today. Yall buckle up and stay home if ya can!

MCH
Just a flake or two. Nothing worth writing home about. Woke up to a clear yard with temps in the low teens.

Shaun_300
You guys definitely sent that system my way! We had a 1/4" of ice on the ground this morning, mix of freezing rain, ice pellets and snow all day. I love the snow but hate that freezing rain, makes for some nasty road conditions! Gator
Finally checking in, got about eight inches at the house, been snowed in since Christmas Eve couldn't get out. Luckily neighbors have a four wheel drive so I been catching rides with them. About the only way I can get out is my four wheeler. Still got snow and ice so may be hard to get to work tomorrow
ruttinbuc
It must really upset the apple cart when it snows in Okieland, no? Either way you have to deal with it. Remember, car sliding to the right turn wheel left and vice verses.... Most of the blizzard of 09 here is all washing away. We had a day of rain. So much for the snow camo....
