redkneck
Just thought I'd add my thread of Christmas cheer! I hope everyone had a blessed and safe Christmas, and to all you folks serving our country and can't be home with your family I'd just say THANK YOU! I hope you get back home soon. I had somewhat of a mixed Christmas. I got to spend Christmas eve and today with my family, except for my stupid brother who breifly showed up drunk and left telling my dad he would not be seeing us for a while. I just found out he's locked up in the county jail, possibly being charged with arson. If he's convicted he'll likely get life without parole, as a habitual offender. I don't talk about him much, some of you may remember a thread or two posted in the past about him, he just refuses to reform. This thread isn't a rant, nor a cry for sympathy, just thought I'd pass along my Christmas happenings. I'm a very fortunate person with a great family, but it just tears my heart out to see my only sibling destroy his life and break his parent's heart along the way, not to mention neglect his only daughter and basically be non-existant in her life. redkneck
Thanks guys, I am very thankful for what I have, a great family, job, and thankful I live where I do. It's just killing me what my brother has done with his life. We have great, not perfect of course, but great parents. I went to college, he went to the pen. He has a drug and alcohol problem that lands him back in the system over and over for years at a time. Honestly it's like he accepts that as his fate. Funny thing is that I feel a little comforted when he's in the pen, I know he cant get behind the wheel and hurt anyone, and I look forward to when he gets out, sobered up, hoping he'll change - he never does. But sadly he may have went to far this time, he got off the three strikes rule on his last dui because he pled and they had a weak case. If what I heard is true, he'll likely never come out again, and he's only 39. Thanks for listening guys. God bless you all.
buckee
Keep praying that the Lord put's someone in your brother's path, who he will listen to, and come to know the Lord as his Savior. In the meantime ...Merry Christmas to you and your family.
