You should never allow the pot to come to a full boil. Hey Kid, those skulls dont looked de-greased yet. Are you going to degrease them ? shedhead Posted January 5, 2010 Report Share Posted January 5, 2010 you need to soak them in dawn dish soap to get the grease out of them or they will turn yellow. never boil a skull they will fall apart you need to simmer. how did you clean them i like to macerat my skulls i think its less work than beetles. Just soak them in water & dish detergent for a week, rinse, let dry & clear coat them with a clear matt spray. That will keep them from turning yellow & absorbing any stains from the air etc...
