Senate passed healthcare

Socialized Medicine in America

I'm not very happy with the situation we're in now, and have a feeling that the majority of Americans are in my corner. If this isn't enough proof that an idealistic, liberal senate, house, and white house will run our ship aground, I don't know what is.

Part of me, as I'm sure is true with many of you, wants to say "I told you so" to all of the Obama supporters that I have argued with in the recent past, but we all know that would do no good.

The best hope we have now is that the mistake our nation made in November 2008 (electing a nearly socialist candidate to the highest office in the world) will not be repeated in November 2010. Hopefully the starry eyed democrats will realize that they've erred by then, swallow their pride, and do what needs to be done in the voting booth. Then we can get back on track toward being the accountable and self-reliant nation our founders set us up to be.

Be well, my friends.

I figure even if it does get passed, it's going to take awhile for us to start hurting from it. The same goes for the weapon bans and restrictions that we all know are coming. I've noticed that all Presidents hold off on burning our britches until the second term when there's no hope for reelection. I hope the guy doesn't get reelected but, I don't see how he couldn't unless something big happens between now and then.

In today's political climate, it will take the GOP putting up someone pretty moderate who can take votes from all parties, and we all know that that isn't going to happen. For some reason, the only people who can get nominated in this country are "polar" candidates. For example, there are clearly some problems with our health care system but, I've yet to hear someone in a prominent position say, "Our health care system needs to be tweaked." Instead they either want to overhaul the entire system of they want to do nothing whatsoever.

i see our nation more upset right now with it's politicians than ever in my years of paying attention. the 10% plus unemployment, the the socializing of america, the unprecedented wasteful spending, the ignoring of the tea party folks.... well, it all adds up to obama having the worst approval rating of any president, ever, after 1 year in office. while obama is trying to change america forever, folks who voted for him are very upset. next november, obama will get a very rude awakening.

Seems a lot of folks have become pretty unhappy with their choice and with what the liberals have done especially concerning healthcare despite the majority of folks not approving. That does also come back on Obama as well. I would tend to agree with Steve and think at this point it is likely Obama will be a one term president.

The orders for durable goods is rising and unemployment may drop accordingly, which may help ease things. About 47% of U.S. households have no income tax liability (I didn't believe it either so I googled it and CNN reported it) so most of what's happening won't hurt them. Add these two factors in and this idiot stands a chance of being re-elected. The only thing that may kill him is the lack of control of security from terrorism that is haunting him now. A few more instances of this may do it.
