Tominator
Welcome to the forums. You're not eligible to buy or sell in these classifieds, but I'd recommend Nikons when it comes to binocs. I got my Monarchs for around $100 I believe. Also got a nice set of Steiners on clearance once. Normally $180, I got them for $85 I think. Don't skimp when it comes to optics. Get as much as you can afford. BearClaw
I picked up some Nikon 10X25 All Terrain binoculars for around $80 at Dunham's. (Team Realtree model) They are not the most expensive binocs you can buy but they work great! I could pick out bedded dear out around 100 yards. I even picked up the ears of one before I knew what it was. It was a great deal for me!
EKYhunter
Go with Nikon. Search classifieds forums here and on Archerytalk.com. You can find some really good deals. Also, think about maybe saving up your money for a while to get some good glass. I use the Monarchs by Nikon and they are excellent. As others have said, don't skimp on optics. fly
Optics can get out of control price wise. I have some Bushnell Trophy's that were about 150 bucks on sale. They are the 10X42 which is a great power for my needs. The binoculars perform great in low light conditions. The only draw back is the weight. They weigh 28 oz. which means I'm reluctant to take them on some hunts. I love them for all day gun hunts, but for those 2 hour evening bow hunts I wish I had something half as heavy. TBow
You should also try and budget in a set of binocular shoulder harness that allows the binocs to hang directly in front of you at all times. Doesn't matter how good a pair of optics you buy, if they're always sitting in your back pack or fanny pack or pockets when you need them most. Got'ta have them handy for them to be of any real use. redkneck
I've been well pleased with my Nikons. Also, when my dog basically ate them a few months back, I sent them back to the factory with no receipt, no warranty, and they mailed me a new pair in the original box for ten bucks plus ten to ship them. Hard to beat a deal like that.
