The_Kat
Yeah there is. I did some research and alot of people are shooting that same material. Just gonna take the time to fix it. First it needs to be loosened and allowed to expand. I'm gonna spray it with water or something to break it down some. Lets get her done then, cause I need a place to get ready for state.....only 3 weeks to go.
hutchies
Go over there and loosen the nuts all the way off. It needs to expand for a couple days. We also need to find something to spray it with to start to break down. I thought about mixing some soapy water and spraying it with a pump sprayer. The_Kat
It is already backed off all the way. Teresa and I pulled the bolts completely off the last time I was over.
hutchies
Good..................We just need to soak it down with something to help break it down. Then tighten just enough to hold it standing up.
The_Kat
Shot two games tonight...my first 300 of the season with the new Pro Elite...300-33X The second game was a world series of archery game which I shot a 327 and tied for 2nd on the final shot. My form is still lacking and I don't know what it is that I'm doing. I'll shoot 3-4 beautiful inside out X's and the have one shot either go high or high right. Sometimes it's a BAD shot too, I'm talking a 3-4 inch miss.
Diamond Archer 01
Yesterday I shot a 376 out of 450.
ultratec1
I'm trying to get ready for vegas and with the way things have been going this season and as busy as I've been with the little addition to the family I havent had a chance to shoot like I normally would. I went to the range the other night and couldnt get my pin to hold stead at all. I mean nothing, it also felt like I was to long on my draw but I have shot 27" for 3.5 yrs now. So after getting extremely frustrated I shortened the draw down to 26.5 and played with the tiller. Turn around put my site back on and shot a vegas round. 298-21. The 2 bad shots were my fault and I knew before hand that I needed to let down. Well I went to the range again the other night and ended up shooting 299-25X. Once again that bad shot was one that I knew I should have let down and started over. Only 2 more days til I leave for Vegas.
Straight Shooter
Well, I'm off to another shoot this weekend in South Carolina, its our 3rd circuit shoot of the year. I did better ont he score last weekend but still upset with myself for missing a target. That one totally jerked my pants down on the yardage, you'll tend to miss if you shoot a target for 31 yards and its 38. Anyway, I ended up with a 233 on a 25 target course and came in first. Will give an update after todays shoot. Good luck to all of you!
The_Kat
Well ladies and gents I finally decided to quit being a cheap butt, and bought a sure-loc supreme. I got my clarifier and peep in yesterday and got my sight tape all fixed up. Man what a difference it makes in my shooting. The first 300 round I shot was a super high X count before I dropped an arrow. I made it 10 ends deep before I dropped a 4 due to a poor release. As soon as I dropped the 4 I stopped shooting the round. So I shot 52 arrows, and had 47Xs. Another unusual thing for me is my target was centered much better. Normally I shoot a fairly ugly 300....but all my centers were punched out with only 2-3 strays. I think I'm gonna like this open class shooting. Both my 3d shoots were canceled this weekend due to foul weather....snow of all things???
Straight Shooter
Sounds like your ready for some great sspot shooting Kyle, good luck to you. I'm about ready to upgrade on my rest and sink some money into a good one or better than I have. I''ve got a Golden Key Premier but it's had 1,000's of shot across it and it's getting worn out. My shoot today was absolutely ugly, there were 17 out of the 25 targets at 40 to 45 yards. I didn't shoot bad as far as me but my yardage judgement at those distances killed me and my five 5's proved it. I ended up shooting a 215 which was very humbling, I'll have to wait and see when the scores are posted to see how bad I got spanked. The_Kat
Told ya............the local guys tried to tell me it's harder to shoot scope. I don't think it is, I do see where form is alot more important though.
ultratec1
Well I got back from Vegas on Monday, didnt shoot the way I wanted to but ended up in 3rd. I also switched out the short 12" stabilizer to a 30" black max to get ready for the Deer classic, shot a 300-24x vegas face. Gonna try to shoot again this week and see how it holds up. Straight Shooter
Well with my shoot getting cancelled last weekend which was the 3rd of our circuit shoots, we were able to get out this weekend. Honestly, I don't know if it's me being out for two years or the equipment driving the ranges to shooting longer distances but I could truly have shot all the courses this year with my 40 yard pin. I shoot fixed pins from the furthest stake back and it's been very challenging to say the least. Men's/women's pro, Men's Open and Men's Unlimited shoot from here. I felt much better shooting this weekend, having got in some extra pratice this week. I had a couple of brain farts on two tagets for yardage estimate resulting in 5's but hammered 6 12's ending up with a 234 at the end of the day. It's a two day shoot and I don't think that will hold up for first place but should give me a good score for my total on the circuit standings. m gardner
I just got through shooting the first leg of the Western States 3-D Championship, The Cactus Open and placed first in Hunter Class. It was fair weather saturday but just poured rain and was foggy today. I ended up with a 391 to win it. Shot my little G-5 Primal.Mark

The_Kat
Good shooting mark! I'm glad someone is shooting well, I flat stunk it up this weekend. Yesterday I had sight issues. I blew any chance of a decent score when my scope needle feel off. I did shoot pretty good after I fixed it, but the damage was already done. As for today...the bow shot well and is dialed in perfectly. I on the other hand am really suckin it up on my yardage. I missed 5-6 targets by more than 5 yards. I'm not sure exactly how bad I was off because I couldnt check my yardage after the shot because some cranky old man called and whined to the range owner saying I was cheating. Crappy weekend on my end.....heading to Cedar Ridge next Sat.
m gardner
I know the feeling. A few weeks ago my target bow went back to Bowtech for warranty repairs so I had to use my hunting bow and shoot Hunter class. It's on eBay right now trying to find a new home. I think I'll go with Hoyt for my new bow. Mark
Straight Shooter
Finally, I made through a shoot wihtout a 5, we had our 4th circuit shoot of the year this weekend. It was another stretched out course with a bunch of 40+ yard targets. I shot 8-12's, 7-10's, 10-8's, for a final of 246. It was another tuff shoot but I have succumed to the 40 yard target ranges. Diamond Archer 01
Today was my first outdoor 3d shoot of the year. I shot a 332 out of 400 at the same stake that all of the adults shoot at. It was my highest score ever.
