Seems like a good way to get out and explore the area you live in. For those of you that are wondering what I am talking about there is a site where people post coordinates of small "treasures" they have hidden around your city. Haven't went out and tried to find them but I got them just in case I get bored one day. Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Most of the one's I downloaded gave hints about the area and what is hidden. I think most of them are just "guest books" that you sign and date, still looks fun though! Hoosierbuck Posted December 29, 2009 Report Share Posted December 29, 2009 Usually the caches are ammo cans that are hidden in various scenic areas. There are all sorts of side games like travel bugs-things that people move from one can to another to further the bug in it's quest to get to some far off and exotic locale, and track it's progress along the way. There is a log boook in the cache that you sign in, and you can leave a trinket and take a trinket. At the geocache website they give the GPS coordinates and rate how difficult the terrain is, and also track the log books. Good times.
