AJ
I was visiting my local Wal Mart today and I glanced through the turnstiles full of guns and noticed the Savage rifle combo units (blued, synthetic stock, scope) were $250. They had .243 Win, .270 Win, .30-06, and 7mm Remington Magnum for that price. I need another rifle like I need a hole in my sock, so I could not justify buying myself another one. Now, I am just passing the message on to others. Talking to the salesman, he said they were supposed to be discontinuing the Weatherby Vanguard rifles. As he said, Wal Mart did Wby a favor and bought the Vanguard off them as long as they were the exclusive distributor or something like that. Now Wby is selling them to their other distributors and Wal Mart is discontinuing them. I don't know if htis is true or not. He had his marked down to $300. Not too bad of a deal for a Howa. huntinsonovagun
Re: Great Gun Prices Thanks for the heads up. I will check them out...I still have not gone out and bit the bullet (excuse the pun ) and bought a rifle. Money is tight being in school, but I want one so bad. I have heard good things about the Savage Accutrigger and most part for the guns too. Will check them out, thanks!
AJ
Re: Great Gun Prices These guns did not have the Accu-Trigger. Personally, I don't like the Accu-Trigger. For the extra $50 or so they are charging for Accu-Trigger guns, I will take an old one and drop in a Rifle Basix trigger. Its much better than the A.T. huntinsonovagun
Re: Great Gun Prices Checked 2 wal-marts and they were both sold out, but both said the 7mags were the only ones on sale. My buddy said it was only $175!!!! I definatly would have bought it for that price, even though it is a little larger than I want/need.
