Diamond Archer 01
I have a tru-glo extra full choke tube on my 20 gauge remington 870. I have killed two turkeys with it both at a little further than 30 yards. I think it is a pretty good choke tube. I hope this helps you. AdrianJHare
If your looking for something that is going to work best in the 40 yard range you need to play a little and pattern shells. I'm sure you'll see that Hevi shot is going to give the best patterns and this is the type of shot that you don't want to over choke. The .665 for 12 gauge seems to hold some of the best patterns I have seen in 12 gauge loads. I shoot 20 gauge and have tested it to the point that I can not find anything that will produce better and the choke size is a .570. Another size that seems to work good for Remington guns is the .555 all tested with Hevi 13 #6 3 in. The best chokes that seem to work in both the 12 ga and 20 is the Pure Gold, and the Indian Creek was not far behind. These chokes are not cheap, but the preformance in patterns show the cost in the end. Some other points that seem to help patterns is to keep a very clean barrel. Polishing seems to hold patterns together much better. Hope that helps you in your quest... Adrian J Hare
Turkeygirl
Chocks? that's a new one...lol For a turkey choke, I use an H.S. Strut Undertaker in my 20 ga....does well with Federal turkey loads. Max I shoot is maybe 35 yards.

hunter109
well thats cool do you all know of any other chocks that are thighter than that
Turkeygirl
If you have the money, best bet might be pick up a few chokes and shoot them to see what your gun likes best...but IMO that's alot of $$$ hence why I only got 1 choke and make do with it...does well for me for my hunting. Good luck in deciding! Oh you may want to check out the NWTF website...they have a forum there as well and some articles on turkey hunting...may get some more info as well. dbHunterNY
I suppose this is a little late, but I use the Modified choke that came with my Benelli. It's rated for steel and other harder shot; like the new Federal Heavyweight shot with Flitecontrol wad. I'm told that in this case using a constricted choke that grabs the wad before it leaves the muzzle actually defeats the purpose of the design, which is supposed to stay with the shot longer and keep it all together. Otherwise I like the Primos Jellyhead, which is rated for the harder and more dense shot.
hunter109
well it dose keep it together but in the same time it cuts your patteren in half because when it dose release it is going faster than the shot well i will see about the jellyhead how tight is that chock
dbHunterNY
If you have a Mossberg 835 or 935 then it'll be a .690 constriction.
3seasons
For a Mossberg if you can find one get a (star dot) or a Primos Jelleyhead is #2 on the list. You will not be disappointed. The Star dot is cheap in price if you can find one and is hard to beat. The Jelleyhead is sumwhat cheap compared to the rest of the chokes out there and is a tight choke. dbHunterNY
Almost forgot Cabelas has chokes too that aren't too bad. You should look at those, feel free to read the reviews on each one as well as some of those previously mentioned.

Leo
Call Gobbler Guns and they will have a choke to recommend for your specific gun and turkey load you wish to use. DropTine49
Chocks? that's a new one...lol For a turkey choke, I use an H.S. Strut Undertaker in my 20 ga....does well with Federal turkey loads. Max I shoot is maybe 35 yards. I also use the HS Undertaker in my 870 12 Guage, works great. Alot of people are also using Pure Gold chokes.
Dakota
I've got three different setups that I've used or will use: Winchester 1200 12 ga. pump w/ fixed full choke Winchester 120 20 ga. pump w/ full choke NEF Pardner 20 ga. single-shot w/ fixed modified (this is mostly my fall turkey gun) Heck, I may even find some tighter chokes for my CZ 12 ga. o/u and use that, too!
