Retrieving

I have all of these great duck hunting spots on this river and me and my friends always shoot ducks but only find 30% of them. The reason we cant find them is because they all land way back in the marsh and are impossible to find. Any tips?

as soon as you kill one stop hunting and watch that one bird fall and walk right to him.... make sure you know exzactly where he falls

Sounds like you need to get yourself a four legged hunting buddy. Or only shoot at ducks that will fall where you can get them.

That's not good. Why continue to duck hunt with that loss rate. That's unacceptable in my book. You better look into getting a good dog or two.

It's gonna happen some. Can't help it. Ducks can still move pretty quick when wounded. Only cure is a dog.

I on the other hand hunt open water and laugh all you want but I got a way of retrieving that works well. Fishing pole, treble hook, and a big weight.

I have only lost 4 ducks in 6 years of hunting the marshes of low country south carolina.

You need to try harder and watch the birds fall. Do not shoot again until you find the first one.
