Tominator
Good story and deer Martin. Congrats. Wonder why you didn't get too much penetration?
Ravin R10 man
Good story and deer Martin. Congrats. Wonder why you didn't get too much penetration? I had my bow backed of to only 50# because of the cold weather, I wanted to be able to get to full draw real quick, 1. because you get muscles that wont work after you get cold.. 2.movement and noise in this dry cold air is picked off even with fleece hunting clothes. The broadhead did penetrate the body cavity on the opposite side leaving a hole, but didnt break the hide. The arrow pulled out a little in the pic because we had to pull him out of the brush..I had nearly18" in him chopping up his lungs when he was running..I did hit ribs too on both sides, arrow got lungs, granted I could have been a little forward with my shot too. Ravin R10 man
Congrats Martin on a great buck! Looks like yah got the SB XT Broke in well:yes: Thanks Jason!..Yup the 'ol XT got another one under it's belt...was happy to put one down with it. I had to put on a peep so I could get my groups tighter. Very happy with your old bow! Buck as he was found; This is almost the same spot he was standing at the shot..just a couple feet to the right..he jumped to the right over all the brush I had positioned..my stand is up 20 feet, 15 feet to the right of this camera. As you can see..he had rehearsed his part, so he could make me look good! Edited January 5, 2010 by Mathews XT Man
