Is there anyway to get some heat under the house to thaw out the pipes?

I think its the pipe that goes from the meter to the house buried undergroud... if it was the ones under the house how could we get heat in there?

I hear you can drink your own pee twice before it will harm you more than it will help you.

I have a case of cokes.... but thanks Ill remember that if I run out of options

Will, I have seen the kerosene type blowers. They look like small jet engines...know what I mean? Used to blow heat into crawl spaces and under homes to thaw out pipes.

If you think this will be a continuing issue in the future, I would advise you to install heat trace tape around the water main and meter where it comes out of the ground and leave the tap dripping/running on the faucet farthest away.

here's some friendly advice: learn where your curb stop and inside the home shutoff valves are before you thaw out anything. if a pipe bursts, there's little time to learn where your valves are. i have two torpedo diesel heaters out in my shop. stop by if you want to borrow one.. lol

LOL thanks steve Ill start pedaling :D

the trick is to leave the water trickling not fast just a gradual drip and as long as there is that little trickle theres a great chance they wont freeze thats always been our trick out here!

we would have done that but we didnt think about it
