coles
A guy i work with is really wanting to get another german or japanese weatherby and he is wanting to sell one of his guns. Its a NIB Remington 700 LSS 257 Weatherby. He has never shot it and hasnt even put a scope on it. Wants to sell it for $550 and I just looked on gunbroker and the same guns were going for $900-$1000. So im thinking about buying it and makin a couple hundred on it selling it. What do ya'll think
Jeramie
Are they selling for that price or are they listed at that price?! Remember, selling and listed are two different things. Look for a couple with bids and see where they are. That gives you a MUCH better bench mark.
Shaun_300
Man I would sweep that up in a second if I could! That's one of my favourite guns. Is it the one with the grey laminate stock? They are SWEET looking!
Strut10
I think, for $550, I'd hang a "SOLD" sign on it if I were you.
coles
Yeah Shawn, its the one with the Grey laminate on it and stainless barrel/action. When i see him friday at work, im goin to tell him to bring it to work friday and im goin to look at it. If he has the box and all the papers and everything, its mine. Just gotta find the $550 in my check book. It always seems to hide really really well. So good that is like its not even there lol
bowana
Like they say on Wall Street...."Buy!....Buy!....Buy!!!
Shaun_300
It sure is a good deal Cole, I'd definitely buy it! Yeah the grey laminate with the stainless is awesome, I'll probably end up buying one if I can find one for a good price. Even though I already have a .25-06, the .257 Roy would be nice to have too, especially since I reload. I'd be getting a reloader if you plan on shooting it a lot, that factory weatherby ammo is pretty pricy!
coles
I am planning on buying it and turning around and selling it but its going to be really tempting to want to shoot it. My dad and I reload but all the stuff is at his house so reloading isnt a problem. But I guess we will see. Hopefully i can take a peek at it this sunday
coles
I talked to him today to see if he would bring the gun to work sunday so i could look at it. He must have forgot that he told me he would sell it for $550 last time and he told me $500 this time. Its one of 500 made and never been shot and still has the box. Im goin to have a hard time keeping myself from shooting this one guys. Even if i do keep it i have a $1000 gun with only $500 into it! Ill post pics up when i get it from him! EKYhunter
Sounds like a good deal. Did you get it?
coles
Havent got it yet. Looked at my checkbook and have enough to pay for it right now but still have bills to pay in the next week or so. Waiting till next payday for a few extra dollars and Ill be takin it home. He said he will reserve it for me and showed me pics of it at work today. Not a scratch or mark at all. He did put a scope on it but never shot it. He knows what he was doing putting scopes on and the gun has only been out of the box long enough to put the scope on it and that is all its been handled
