maytom
Been through a couple of paks now myself, and have settled with this one from Cabela's. I like the fact that the material is waterproof and quiet. While not as large as your looking for, it fits my bill nicely. Check the link below. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?id=0010074&navCount=1&parentId=cat20770&masterpathid=&navAction=push&cmCat=MainCatcat21424-cat20770&parentType=index&indexId=cat20770&rid=
wtnhunt
Have the same pack mentioned above(elite scout pack) in the large model and been very pleased with it so far. Cabelas does have some other larger packs like this one http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602772-cat602781_TGP&id=0014814515401a&navCount=4&podId=0014814&parentId=cat602781&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat602781&hasJS=true, don't think you could go wrong with one of their packs. joeaveragehunter
I got the soft frame pack from cabelas. Its a little big for a day pack but sits on your back like a feather. Its got a built in bow/gun holder too. Costed $90.

Monofletch
I just bought an Eberlestock X2. I have not even taken the tags off it yet! It is an awesome pack. I got this one for UNDER $100!!

DocMort
Where did you get a pack like that for under a 100 bucks?
DocMort
So my question is after looking around. We will be hunting close to 5-6 miles off the road, would it be better to get a frame pack and use it as a day pay or a day pack? I figure on boneing the elk out if we are luck enough to get one. maytom
Never hunted elk, and since they are much larger than deer sized game. A large framed pak would probably fit your bill better than a regular day pak. Don't go cheap either.

Have not hunted elk yet, but if it were me and I was planning to use the pack to pack out elk, the frame pack would be what I would go with. hammerforged
Would definitely go with a frame pack for packing out Elk. The added rigidity of the frame will be most appreciated.
