turkeydude
Man im just dying to get out and hear the first gobbles of the season and begin scouting. It always hits me about January and the next couple months im in for a tough wait. I just got my turkey application in and that just makes it seem even closer. My season will be April 28- May 3rd. Anyone else getting that itch to chase some gobblers already?

twowetdogz
I'm ready too. Think I'm going to get my vest out this weekend and go through it and make sure everything is ready. And then let it sit for a couple months....and then go through it again right before season starts.....because by then, I'll think of something I forgot. layin on the smackdown
Not itching for it yet, but definitely thinking about it. I applied for 3 tags this year, and already got one in the mail for our second season - April 17-22. It can't get here fast enough...i have had it with old man winter. traprdave
We are hitting 3 states this year, so I'm getting pumped!! Right now I'm curbing the desire by shooting coyotes, but there's nothing like the thunder of a spring gobbler!!

Rhino
Yep...getting the itch! Moved my trail cams to spots where I hope to be closing in on roost sites. One is checking the area where Houdini made a fool out of me several times last year. Hope he and his 2 buddies are still around. Lots of scratching in that area too. Orion_70
Season opens Mar 20 here. Deer season just closed last weekend. I'm taking this weekend off and the next I'll be out doing some post season scouting. I've seen a bunch of turkeys in deer season, I just hope they hang around those general areas

Dakota
Yep! I've been in turkey mode for a couple of weeks now. Black Hills Merriams tag and Statewide Archery tags are guaranteed but I won't send my application in for a month or so yet. However, the deadline for prairie shotgun turkey is this month and I'm applying for a spot along the Missourri River where there are a ton of Rios and I can shoot two longbeards there. Hopefully I'll draw that so I can go after Merriams, Rios and Easterns this year. Been digging through all the turkey gear and am getting my decoys cleaned up and making sure I can still work a call. In a few weeks some of the snow will hopefully have melted and then I'll go out and do some scouting for my archery Eastern. Getting excited!
