Turkeygirl
No, still waiting on that hospital call, lol (classmate told me to be paient, they'll call). But while mom and I were out shopping, mom calls my sister and home and finds out that a bulldozer and excavator so to speak were brought over by the guy doing our pond! So it's about time. So now those two machines are parked next to the barn. I'll take a photo for proof,lol:1eye: We figure since mom was PO'd at Andy, maybe he stopped and finally got on the guy about the pond...and told him he didn't want to come home again to another cold empty dinner plate:1eye: So we'll see what happens. buckee
That's good news. I hope the job goes smoothly and you end up with a beautiful pond. Are you going to stock it with trout ? Edited January 8, 2010 by buckee
Turkeygirl
I dunno what we are going to do but I hope we put some fish in it...need to practice my fly fishing, lol
RangerClay
If you want practice, put bluegills in the pond and chase them with poppers. They will be more likely to survive NY winters.
Turkeygirl
Yeah I was thinking bluegills....funny story though. At camp the pond has a billion blue gills I swear, along with largemouths and brookies. Anyway this summer the bluegills started biting some of the guys, earning the name "nipple fish"... those things are crazy !!
stevebeilgard
sounds great that you're getting your pond. you do want a real deep, maybe 20' deeper than the rest of the pond, trench. on your worst winters with heavy ice, the fish will still have the trench to go into.
