joeaveragehunter
I had a .40 baby eagle and cant hit the broadside of a barn from 10 yards. I just got a taurus 1911, and am smoking a 2x4 at twenty yards. Only $549 and it is just sweet.
Adjam5
Congrats on the Taurus. I hear they are a lot of gun for the money. Their factory is state of the art.
WNY_Whitetailer
Yup, those Taurus 1911's seem to be pretty good shooters...I have one that is more accurate than I seem to be. It feels great in my hand and has been flawless with fmj rounds...But, when it comes time to load hp ammo, a problem has arisen. Initially, I loaded up a magazine of Speer Gold Dot 230 gr hp ammo...Pulled back the slide to load round in to the chamber and it locked up. The hp hung on on the bottom lip of the feedramp. I purchased a Kimber Tac Pro mag to see if they Taurus mag was the problem...Nope, same issue. So, I purchased a box of Hornady XTP 200 grain hp +p ammo...Same issue but doesn't occur as often. It only seems to occur when the mag is loaded up completely...After a couple rounds are gone, it cycles perfectly. I was told that this is a problem that will work itself out in time and with more rounds down the pipe...As of now, I only have about 100 rounds through her. I did manage to fire some hp ammo but it did not consistently feed... So, until this gun is a consistent digester of hp ammo, it will not be seeing duty in a CCW capacity. I will have to give that duty to my Glock 23 and Glock 27...
