Guest TennesseeTurkey
without looking.... I grabbed the bow to go check a field to see if I could get a shot at a deer this evening and I bust out the door bow in hand, look up at my work van and a doe is staring at me at 15 yards :jaw:....... Well I just calmly grab an arrow just like the deer isnt there and she briskly walks behind a huge bush well I walk a little closer to where I can see her behind it, I see her start to step out from behind it come to full draw, and she takes off ...... stupid deer.... just taunting me like, I know what your doing and Ill show you! Adjam5
Kind of hard for a 6'8" guy to be steathy huh? Well how about setting up in the living room and opening up a window? Just remember if you are shooting downward watch for the window sill. The arrow and sight are a few inches apart. So while you have a clear sight picture through the peep, the arrow is a few inches lower and sometimes hits the sill:rolleyes:. I've seen it happen. Ask my son Joe . He/we have never shot deer out the window, but groundhogs are fair game here.
Turkeygirl
LOL! I've had that happen when gun hunting...just about to squeeze that trigger and the deer takes off, or bow hunting, I just about had the pin settled behind the shoulder and the deer runs...argh! "Look before crossing" huh,lol

Ravin R10 man
That happens to me alot..when our apple trees start dropping, I'll come out and there's a deer under 30 yards eating apples, and me flat footed with out my bow....I do have a ladder stand set up in my orchard, and have taken a couple from it...15 yards from the house..LOL Edited January 8, 2010 by Mathews XT Man
Adjam5
Redneck. Who does that? I mean, seriously, who grabs the bow and tries to shoot a deer in their own yard? Guilty here... But NEVER out a window of our house here. Maybe at deer camp, but not here at home. Varmints are fair game out the window. Although it is tempting. A scene from the yard.
