Turkeygirl
a bummer. I find out first of all that basically probably my best friend is not going to be at camp this summer, after spending the last few summers together over there. She got offered a full time job at a nature center and the camp guy here won't promote her up to assistant director and she is sick of counselor, not to mention he wants to ship her to one of the other camps. So I'm happy she's got a real job but sad at the same time. What else...Oh I get to get my regular flu shot on Friday except it's in the nasal form...never had that not too mention they didn't teach us that in nursing school, lol! Oh well, I'll learn something at least. I'm also really wanting to get going on a hospital floor now and so tired of not hearing anything...I'm trying to be patient, everyone says they will call...but this waiting is getting me down! I juts keep praying and waiting. I can't think of much else. Sent out a small order for some fly tying supplies....Going to go out and x-country ski for a little bit....Exercise should help lift my spirits...till I trip and fall over:1eye:
Turkeygirl
And did I mention it's been 20 degrees or below for like the last 3 weeks!!!!!!???? I think this is called cabin fever or something...I'm really ready to see some green outside...and tines sticking off the ground and in general, sunshine! Oh yeah and a paycheck every 2 weeks, lol
92xj
No waiting around when it comes to jobs, even if everyone there says to wait, they will call. When I was interviewing and going through it, I called every single company I met with at least once every other day until I got a confirmed answer or Yes or No. You might feel like you are bothering and annoying them but it also shows you are deteremined to get a job and want the job! It worked for me and everyone else I know. DO NOT WAIT AROUND. Go call, Jobs in this economy will not fall in your lap, its going to take a ton of effort. I spent 10 hours a day researching, calling, interviewing, calling back and writing letters for 4 months before I got a solid job effort. DocMort
As far as the nasal spray goes a good way to get enough to make it work but not enough to give you ugh feels is to spit it out after you come out of the office. I know its gross but it has worked for me in the past years. I have a friend that works at Rochester General she said that most of the hospitals in the city are hiring nurses don't hold me to it just what she told me. 2nd hand info sometimes can bite ya in the butt. I know its a drive but might be worth it to check it out. Oh yeah and good luck finding a job.
Turkeygirl
Yeah, I know if I went to the city, I'd probably pick something up no problem but I honestly cannot stand being in a city more than a day...too many people and buildings, not enough greenspace...the shootings/stabbings, etc....that's scary enough. Ah well, one of these days.... Did go for a x-country ski today which made me feel better, though breaking fresh snow on x-country skis is a real pain, lol
