Dawg
What type of fishing line do you use the most and why?
camoman1
I do mostly musky fishing in the summer and I use either PowerPro or Tuff Line on my reels. I like the no/low stretch quality for better hooksets and working lures. I do use flurocarbon leaders on my musky rods and tip ups (icefishing)
Slugger
I use power pro mainly because I dont get to fish as much as I used to and I can leave it on for a couple of years without worrying about having my line break when I hook into a bigger fish because I didnt respool at the beginning of the year. I caught my biggest bass to date with a rod and reel that hadnt been restrung in 2 years. I also love the fact that it has no memory and casts well. I have never lost a fish due to line breakage since Ive been using it.

Dawg
I mainly fish for largemouth bass and use monofilament (Berkly Big Game 15lb.). I have read up on the copolymer and flourocarbon and am going to test out the copolymer this year (P-Line CXXX). It seems to have some traits of both mono and flouro. Just like everything else they all have their pro's and con's.
Shaun_300
For the most part I use braided line, want to try flourocarbon this year though.
doubledrop
I use Berkley big game 50 lb monofilament for the flatheads I fish for.
flyrod64
For bait fishing or lures I've always use stren and on my flyrod I love Cortland weight forward lines.
RangerClay
I use Flourocarbon when I'm ice fishing. It increases sensitivity and there is no stretch. But Flourocarbon is weak, if the line will be bounching off limbs or rocks it will shread chip. For most fishing I use plain old Trilene XT in green.
