i've got too long a list, and too poor a memory. i shoveled snow for paul harvey as a kid, caddied for the bishops (bishop tool & dye) and (?) victor of victor decoys & traps. j.d. searl (chemicals). i spent 4 years in vegas and i think i met most acts there. jimmy durante was the only jerk. the rat pac were real down to earth. in fact, most were real great. i've done a sing alongs with tanya tucker, (over 2 years), my oldest brother dated ann margaret,(i knew hot when i was 11!). my best memories are meeting bud anderson and chuck yeager a few years back, at oshkosh. those are my heros from a war and a plane i was born 20 years too late for. i've flown hotter and faster planes but none better. i still call jim zumbo friend. when he was in trouble a few years ago, he said i was the only call of support he got. pretty sad.

but the best person i've ever met is my wife. her step mom was the aunt of bert cummings (the guess who, for you kids) (heck, the kids still don't have a clue. lol)

I have been fortunate to meet many famous people in my life. My granddad himself was pretty famous back in the day as a Country & Bluegrass singer/songwriter/composer/TV personality. My family spent a week every summer with Johnny and June Cash at our beach house in Myrtle Beach. My Granddad is very close friends with Billy Graham and we have broken bread with him on several occasions. Other famous people I was able to meet and talk with along the way thanks to my Granddad include:

Kris Kristofferson

Willie Nelson

Waylon Jennings

Michael Jordan

David Allan Coe

Shooter Jennings (before he was famous and we were kids)

Jerry Reed

Jimmy Dean

Allison Krause

Dan Marino

Chet Atkins

Andy Griffith

Other famous people I have met randomly include:

Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr.

Jeff Gordon

Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers WR)

Alyssa Milano

Bobby Jones (former UNC and NBA basketball player)-he was my HS bball coach

David Thompson

Jose Canseco (complete jerk)

Muggsy Boges

Tom Cruise (before he became a whacko!) when he was filming Days of Thunder

Does getting close to a famous person count?

I was up in Arkansas and was able to watch Antonio Banderas film a scene in some movie, I think it was called "The White River Kid" or something like that. It didn't make it to the theaters.

I've met:

Garth Brooks

Davis Daniels

Wayne Toups (Famous Zydeco music singer from Louisiana)

Tracy Byrd

Mark Chesnut (he use to live about 2 miles down the road from my folks house)

Tracy Lawrence

That's all I can think of right now.

I met the band Kansas when they came to play at a casino in Hayward, WI when I was like eight years old. We stopped at a gas station across the street from the casino after their concert and they were there buying beer to take back on the bus. Haha!

I've also met Harold Ensley, some of you probably know who he is. He used to have a TV show on for years and was an avid hunter and fisher. He and my dad were friends for quite a few years. He's now passed away, but my parents and I took a trip down to see him when I was fourteen and I got to fish with him.

I met Roger Raglin (sp?) when I was about the same age, thirteen or fourteen.

I've also met the bands Army of Freshman and Bowling for Soup at Warped Tour in 2005.

I feel like I'm forgetting someone, but I'm not sure. :hammer1:
