tclubbs2
Well, yesterday was the last day of bow season here in MO. I only harvested one doe but saw plenty just not the big brutus I wanted. I will have a bad taste in the off season. I missed a doe last night :bang:. Oh well that is how it goes. Does anyone hunt small game during the off season to satisfy the addiction? I was thinking coyote or maybe ferral hog. I do not know how to start for these two though. Any suggestions? I basically want to get back into the woods and continue shooting more than target practice.
ohiobuckhunter
baiting seems to work best for hogs and calling for coyotes

Diamond Archer 01
During the off season I just shoot in an indoor league. Then when that is over it is almost turkey season! Good luck going after those hogs and yotes.

Tominator
Our season runs into February. I have one tag left, and I could buy another one, but I don't think I will. I usually get out in February and chase bunnies. When that season closes I start walking around for shed antlers, that's pretty fun. After that it's usually close to spring break time and my thoughts turn to getting the garden going. You might want to take up shed hunting, it satisifes the itch quite a bit actually.
toddyboman
I do A LOT of shed hunting after season and some yote hunting. However calling yotes seems to be extremely challenging in our area since so many guys run yotes with dogs.
